Pick Right Chiropractic School

Look for an accredited school

Based on these factors, once you have narrowed down your choices to a few options, you have to ensure the school you choose is an accredited one. Accreditation is provided by the Council on Chiropractic Education in the US where a degree from the school lets you practice as a chiropractor in the country. On graduation, you can either continue your studies to get a doctorate of chiropractic or continue your studies while you practice.

Some states of America also require qualities chiropractors to answer another set of exams to get a license for practicing chiropractic. As these exams are conducted by the Council on Chiropractic Education, they require some license qualifications. As these licensing requirements and accreditation differ from one state to another, it’s important that you carry a careful study and knowledge of the whole process as necessary.

Undergraduate and associate programs

Though there are many schools in the US, there are only sixteen accredited schools and programs in the country. Some states offer the Doctor of Chiropractic programs while others, both the undergraduate and associate programs along with doctorate programs. You have to undergo 2 years of study to become an associate chiropractic and a 4 year course to become a graduate.

On completion of the 4 year undergraduate program, you get a thorough learning about the basics of chiropractic and a firm base required to pursue the intensive post graduate chiropractic program.
